Documentation:The following documentation is available for download:The Quick-start guide for the current MI3 tools, including software installation, is found at QuickStartGuideIrDA.pdf (614 kbytes). Software:Palm software:Operating the MI3 survey tool with a Palm Pilot requires two pieces of software. First, you need Palm's own HotSync software which manages the transfer of information between a Palm and a Windows computer. To obtain the correct version of the HotSync software (part of the Palm Desktop), please visit the Palm software download site at http://www.palmone.com/us/support/downloads/ (if this link does not work, try http://www.palmone.com/ and follow the links to software support). After installing the Palm HotSync software, you need to install our Palm program and conduit software. Save the file palmsetup.exe (334 kbytes)to your computer and execute it to install the conduit and Palm program. When you next HotSync your Palm Pilot, the program will be placed on the Palm. Windows software:The Windows INCLIN software permits the user to produce checkplots, edit data, and produce files for export to third-party software such as mine visualization software. This software is a self-extracting archive. Save the file inclin430.exe (5.45 Mbytes) to your computer and execute it.DOS:The HI.EXE program is a DOS software package for operating MI-03 series tools in multishot or cable modes. The latest version (3.10) is available for download here: hi_setup.exe (1.17 Mbytes). This is a self-extracting archive file. Save this file to your computer and execute it.Ruggedized computers:Icefield Tools no longer supplies our instruments with ruggedized DOS computer such as the Husky line of computers. We now supply our instruments with Palm computers. The latter are far less expensive and have fewer problems for our clients. Nevertheless, we continue to support the DOS HI program which can be used on any DOS or Windows (except Windows CE) computer. The Hi program operates on FSx series and Hunter 16 computers from Husky. Those using Husky computers can find assitance below.HuskyHusky Pty, of England, was purchased by Itronix, of Spokane WA in February 2000. The various websites maintained by Husky appear to be in a state of flux, so we have provided links to the following Husky software and documentation. If you wish to search for items we have not provided, you may be able to reach Husky support at Software Downloads or User manuals.
