Your prime source for drillhole deviation and borehole survey equipment.Do you know where your bore hole has gone?Put Icefield Tools electronic drill hole surveying tools to work for you. Our inclinometers are state-of-the-art instruments that give you your deviation survey results in seconds after removing the tool from the hole. Are you using photomechanical deviation tools? Don't fuss with chemicals, film disks, or timers. Our electronic borehole inclinometer gives you your data instantly in digital form. Drillhole data can be displayed on Palm®, DOS® or Windows® computers.
Our inclinometers take shots every ten seconds and can store thousands of shots on-board. One tool - three ways to use itDon't purchase several tools for different jobs - our inclinometers can do it all:Single-shot applications will never be the same again. No missed shots because the drillers were slow getting the tool into position; no more costly idle rig time while you wait for the timer to take the shot. Multi-shot applications have never been easier or more detailed. There is almost no cost in time to take a survey shot at every rod joint. Real-time steering applications benifit from our wireline sub which permits communication of real-time toolface, inclination, and azimuth data over a single-conductor wireline as long as 10km (30,000 feet). Are you sure that azimuth is correct? The old photomechanical deviation tools (Sperry Sun, Pajari, etc.) give you an azimuth, but no indication as to whether it is correct. Interference from magnetic rock and drill rods can throw off the readings, but unless you have additional information, you must blindly trust the azimuth. Icefield Tools inclinometers provide magnetic diagnostic information (magnetic azimuth and magnetic dip) that lets you assess the reliability of the data. |
